Timing begins when selecting either Zero or X and ends on the final hit on Gamma Sigma.

The leaderboards are currently sort by in-game time, allowing all versions to be competitive. Please include the IGT screen in your PB vods. Ties that occur in in-game time will be broken using real time.

You may use the soft reset option to quit to the main menu as long as your reset does not roll back the in-game timer. Any runs using the soft reset feature to rewind the in-game timer will be rejected.

The "Slow Mode" option on the PS1/PC versions is not allowed.

The PAL version is not allowed due to the in-game timer being inconsistent with all other versions.

Using the codes that let you start the game with Ultimate Armor(X) or Black Armor(Zero) is not allowed unless specified otherwise by the category.

Ultimate Armor Any% rules: This category requires the following code: While hovering on X in the Character Select menu, input up two (2) times then down nine (9) times.
